Use two fingers alternating to click faster!
Welcome to the Butterfly Click Test! If you have ever watched pro Minecraft players or competitive clickers, you might have seen them using a strange technique with two fingers on one mouse button. That is called Butterfly Clicking!
By alternating your index and middle fingers on the same button, you can click much faster than with just one finger. Our specialized butterfly click test helps you measure exactly how many clicks you can get per second (CPS) using this advanced method.
Many pro players can reach speeds of 15 to 25 CPS using the butterfly technique. This is almost double what most people can do with a normal click!
To butterfly click, you need to place both your index and middle fingers over the left mouse button. Instead of clicking with one finger, you tap them one after another in a rhythmic pattern: Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap.
It is called "butterfly" because the movement of your fingers looks like a butterfly flapping its wings. The goal is to keep the button clicking as fast as possible without your hand getting tired. It takes some practice to get the rhythm right, but once you do, your speed will skyrocket!
In Minecraft PVP (Player vs Player), having a higher CPS means you can hit your opponent more often and take less "knockback."
Speed-bridging is much easier when you can click at 15+ CPS. You will be able to place blocks instantly as you run!
Whether it is Cookie Clicker or Capybara Clicker, butterfly clicking helps you earn trillions of points in record time.
Butterfly clicking is much easier on a mouse with a large clicking area. Many "Gaming Mice" are designed specifically with this technique in mind.
Don't just mash the button. Try to create a steady "1-2, 1-2" beat with your fingers. Accuracy is just as important as speed!
Clicking very fast for a long time can make your hand feel stiff. Always stretch your fingers and take a 5-minute break every hour.
Yes, if you don't overdo it! It is much safer than "jitter clicking" because you aren't tensing your whole arm, just moving your fingers.
Most mice will work, but some have a "debounce" setting that stops very fast clicks. A gaming mouse often lets you click faster.
Start with 10-minute sessions. Once your fingers get stronger, you can practice for 20 or 30 minutes at a time.
For beginners, 8-10 CPS is great. Intermediates usually reach 12-15. Pros can easily do 20+ CPS!
Added the "Related Tools" grid to help you find other clicking tests. Improved the click animation for better visual feedback.
Updated the rank engine to include "Godly" and "Insane" tiers for the world's fastest butterfly clickers.
