Measure your total actions per minute (Clicks + Keypresses)!
Are you ready to test your total speed? Welcome to the APM Test Pro! APM stands for Actions Per Minute. While a normal click test only looks at your mouse, our APM tool looks at EVERYTHINGโyour mouse clicks and your keyboard presses combined!
In the world of fast-paced games, it is not just about how fast you can click a button. It is about how many things you can do at once. Can you type a command and move your character in the same second? That's what APM measures!
In professional StarCraft matches, players often reach over 300 to 500 APM! This means they are making 5 to 10 meaningful actions every single second of the game.
APM stands for Actions Per Minute. It is a metric used to measure how many clicks and keypresses a player performs in one minute. In this test, we track every "event" that happens. When you click, that's one action. When you press a key on your keyboard, that's another action.
However, there is a difference between "Spam APM" and "Effective APM (EPM)." Spamming just for the sake of speed is fun, but EPM is about how many of those actions actually do something useful in a game. Our tool helps you build the baseline speed needed to become an EPM master!
In StarCraft or Age of Empires, high APM allows you to manage your base, produce units, and micro-manage your army all at the same time.
In League of Legends or Dota 2, reacting with your mouse for movement and your keyboard for spells requires high APM coordination.
Navigating your skill rotations while dodging enemy attacks in World of Warcraft or FFXIV requires your fingers to be fast and precise.
It's not just about moving your fingers fasterโit's about moving them smarter. Here are some tips:
The less you have to move your mouse, the faster you will be. Try to use your keyboard for everything besides movement. Learn the shortcuts for every action!
Don't just use one or two fingers. Try to keep your hand spread across the keys so you can press multiple keys in rapid succession without moving your whole hand.
Instead of spamming as fast as possible, try to find a rhythm. A steady 200 APM is often better than a chaotic 300 APM where you make mistakes.
Updated the result rankings to include "StarCraft Pro" and "Inhuman" tiers. Added better support for mechanical keyboard switches.
Improved the accuracy of the multi-threaded input listener. Fixed a ghosting issue where some keypresses were missed.

Not necessarily. In a real game, you want Effective APM (actions that help you win). But having a high core speed makes it easier to do those actions faster!
You can press any key! The spacebar is great for speed, but the letter keys and numbers work just as well.
Yes, a higher polling rate (like 1000Hz) will register your clicks with less lag!
You can, but a real mouse is much better for testing your true APM ceiling.
Think your fingers are fast enough?
